Destiny for Women and Youth Empowerment (DWYE) is a duly registerednon-profit, strategic organization committed to uplift the lives sustainable economic regeneration through empowerment fostering on end to poverty. It was initiated in 2010. The organization seeks to offer sustainable alternatives towards identifying wealth of opportunities that guarantees a better welfare of women and youths towards sustainable development through trainings in basic business management, economic empowerment health education and supporting income generating projects for the Women and the youth to generate, own and control means of production. The organization’s training program is community based to encourage community development.

To create a conducive environment for youths and women to expose the champions in them for the sustenance and growth of our nation’s wealth.

To offer entrepreneurship and empowerment programs, creating a future highway that rejects the inevitability of poverty by generating owing and controlling means of production.

Overall responsibility
Community mobilization and coordination at grassroots level; Designing project proposals data collection and research; Planning community outreaches; Carrying out clean up campaigns

The volunteers are responsible for supporting the Programs Team (Director of Programs, Policy Advocacy and Communication Manager, and Program Manager) with the planning, implementation and monitoring of Destiny program activities.

Under the guidance of the assigned managers, the Volunteers will provide administrative and logistical support for projects and components of the community program. The volunteers will support with writing routine reports and correspondence, as well as assist with the development of project/program materials The Volunteers will assist by maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as needed, and support with preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for travel. He/She will assist with organizing meetings and events, as well as working with and maintaining data management and filing for projects/program. With direction from assigned managers, he/she will liaise and communicates with project consultants and field office staff. The Volunteer will be assigned small research or design projects to support to one or more staff members regarding project and programmatic efforts.

Main responsibilities
Provide administrative and logistical support for projects, including:
Maintaining calendars, receiving and composing communications as needed; Preparations, scheduling, logistics, and other various requirements for travel (field visits); Assist with organizing meetings and events; Working with and maintaining data management and filing for projects/program; Support with writing routine reports and correspondence; Liaise and communicate with project consultants and field office staff, as guided by managers; Assist with the development of project/program materials; Complete small research or design projects in line with program needs; Project(s) would be agreed upon a part of work-plan and in line with requirements of school practicum/internship

Requirements
Can speak Zimbabwean languages; Ability to mobilize people; Good communication skills
