Project Manager Full Time

Job Summary:
This position reports to the Finance Manager of the Pension Fund. Responsible for the stunning, mobilization, management and execution of projects by using approved project-management methodologies and principles. Work with business to define its requirements in orderto meet its objectives, including the development or assistance in the development of scope for the related projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops project management framework and determines key resources requirements.
• Ability to prepare bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Carry’s out feasibility studies for developmental projects
• Prepares and manages project budget.
• Participates in the tendering process, adjudication and recommendations for award.
• Develops agreed project outcomes and deliverables.
• Monitors project implementation and generates progress reports.
• Ensures health and safety rules are observed at the site.
• Conducts detailed review of the projects and contracts
• Leads and motivates project teams
• Develops a programme for handing over the project to operations.
• Evaluates entire project and prepares for projects completion.
• Assists in the identification of local suppliers
• Evaluates the project from preparatory works to completion and produces
• Prepares procedures on quality and ensuring that they are adhered to.
• Champions stakeholder management issues.
• Ensures minimal budgetary overruns.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A relevant Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying or Architecture.
• Relevant project management qualification.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the construction industry.
• Technical and analytical skills – Strategic orientation
• Ability to work in a team environment.
