JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT AND STORES OFFICER- GRADE 9

Qualifications and Attributes
• Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• A professional qualification in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage At least three years relevant experience
• Membership of a recognized professional body
• Applicant should have knowledge of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Asset Act (Chapter 22:23)
• Must be computer literate
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• At least 30 years of age
▪ Clearance letter frorn ZRP a must
• A clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence

Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of Council procurement plan
• Overseeing the procurement of goods and services for Council in accordance with procurement regulations
• Preparing periodic procurement reports Managing procuring contracts
• Preparation of bidding documents for council in accordance with the law
•Leading the Procurement Management Unit (PMU) Giving proper advise to the PMU and the Accounting Officer
